BREAKING NEWS – Foodshare wins Environment Award. We would like to recognise today the work of Penney Poyzer-Schalom (left), Shona Munroe (right), Tracey Lloyd and all the other visionaries, spade-diggers and big hearts in Nottinghamshire who have taken Foodshare to new heights throughout schools & colleges from primary right through to university level. The work they are doing is AMAZING, showing us all what is possible and inspiring everyone hugely. Well done to you all for winning the Education in Environment category at Nottingham Evening Post environment awards. So well deserved!

It was founded last year by West Bridgford residents Penney Poyzer-Schalom, 55, and Shona Munro, 41, as an offshoot from their not-for-profit food and energy solutions company Nourish Associates.
Ms Munro said: “It’s great to get Foodshare Notts on the map. It’s a really important initiative because it’s teaching pupils the art of philanthropy and sharing food locally with people who really need it.
“To be recognised for the work we’ve done will hopefully springboard us into more opportunities so more schools and organisations can adopt food sharing.”
